Rated 3 out of 5 by from Pretty disappointed After WetnWild discontinued my favorite foundation, the mega cushion foundation. I turned to the dewy one hoping it could replace my love for the mega cushion. Unfortunately it did not, I have normal to oily skin but I hate using matte formulas so I tend to stick to dewy ones and set it with powder. This foundation would not stick to certain spots of my face and it kept weirdly separating. When I used the cushion one, although that formula was dewy, it did not preform like this. The coverage was pretty good and it didn’t smell as bad as the matte formula version but i don’t think I will be repurchasing. Please bring back the mega cushion!!

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Such a great foundation BUT.... The only reason why I didn’t give 5 stars is because of the lack of cool undertones. I love this foundation & far more than the original Photo Focus. I couldn’t wear the original because it made me look dry, wrinkled and aged. My ONLY complaint in the dewy formula is there isn’t a shade that has a pink/cool enough undertone & so even the closest shade is just too orange for me. There was one shade in the original line that I could make work but the shades in dewy line aren’t the same. I really wish that there were some cooler/more pink undertones in the medium shade range. Or at least match the dewy shades with the original shades so I could at least wear this amazing foundation daily.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from GOD'S GIFT TO MY FACE! Highly recommended! I've always had a great complexion until recently. My skin became very dry with mild eczema. I tried several different brands but I was not happy with any. One day I noticed a 20 yr old family friend with perfect make-up and beautiful skin and asked what brand foundation she had on. I was surprised when she said Wet n Wild. I bought it at Walgreens and this is PERFECT! - Texture, color, finish, everything I wanted finally showed up in this bottle of beauty. I am no longer self -conscious of any imperfections because the coverage is flawless. Absolutely love everything about this. Don't pay attention to any negative reviews. Buy it today.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Beautiful finish and color match is perfect I'm impressed with the color match (I'm Caramel). I had the original Photo Focus foundation in Caramel and it matched me..but this new one is even more precise in matching my golden yellow olive undertone. I applied with the applicator it comes with and then bounced it in skin with damp beauty blender and lightly brushed face with the new wet n wild setting powder in Banana. This foundation leaves a beautiful glowy radiant finish. Not cake-y or dry at all. I have normal to dry skin. I am very impressed with this foundation!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Wow, just wow!! When I saw this launch I purchased it immediately. Worn in every day since I got it! It wears BEAUTIFULLY!!! Sooooo comfortable on the skin. Didn’t break a part at all. New holy grail for sure. THANK YOU WET N WILD FOR DEVELOPING THIS FOUNDATION!!!! It wears better than my Nars, Pur, Dior, & Urban Decay foundations and is a fraction of the cost. Idk how they do it but it’s magic.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Beautiful finish This is my new favorite foundation. It provides the perfect medium coverage with a hydrated satin finish. It didn’t settle into pores or fine lines but in all fairness I used a drugstore brand putty primer beforehand. For reference - I have a light/olive complexion with neutral undertones and soft beige matched perfectly.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from My favorite foundation I purchased this two weeks ago and it's my favorite foundation. I have been searching for a formula that fits my very dry skin, it is very sensitive and a lot of foundations break me out. This one last all day, is very glowy and a good shade match for me.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great Foundation Gave this foundation a try after a lot of Youtube reviews on it and it holds up to the hype. I will say as a good/bad to it depending on your skin type. The formula is fairly lightweight but I found it a little 'oily' looking on the skin though it tones down if you use a powder to set it, so if you're more prone to oily skin it might not be great. The applicator is simple and helps easily apply to the face. I personally liked to rub it in with my fingers and then smooth it out with a beauty blender and it sets into the skin nicely. My only big complete, why 4/5 stars is the foundation smells really bad to me. When it's on my skin I don't notice a smell but coming out of the bottle and applying it the formula just has a very strong and unpleasant chemically odor. But considering that it looks good on the skin, is inexpensive, and also don't make my acne prone skin break out, I'd still give this foundation a shot if you're thinking on trying it out.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Women of color have to buy online! I was super excited to try your new photo focus dewy foundation. I went to the store and couldn't find my shade. I understand that there are only 20 shades , but it seems like the only shades that are in stores are to cater to women of lighter complexion. I thought it was just me ,but when I went online to watch YouTube videos that showed evidence that this is happening everywhere. It is not just the dewy one it's the original photo focus as well! Our shades aren't in stores! Women of color are having to buy our shades online without seeing them in person, which is hard to do. Then if we don't spend a certain amount we have to pay for shipping. If the color isn't a match we can exchange it but then have to pay for more shipping to do so. So if you are a women of color this foundation may cost you anywhere from 5 to 15 dollars which is just not fair. I would like to go to the store and buy it just like a women of lighter complexion can.

What is the difference between shell ivory and nude ivory? Which one is darker?

Asked by: Hwknrs
Nude Ivory is a bit darker than Shell Ivory. I am very fair with warm undertones. Nude Ivory is nice for Spring and Summer.

Are the shades still the same colour as the original photo focus?

Asked by: MiriT
Unfortunately no. I love the dewy line & cannot wear it because I cannot find a shade match. I can’t even find one I can make work. The undertones are too yellow, orange, warm for me. There’s one shade in the original formula that I can make work but I can’t stand the formula - it makes me look 2decadez older than I am. I hope W&W is taking notes on this bcz I need a very pink undertone & even their so called neutrals are too warm for me & I can usually make a neutral work. I hope you have better luck than I do. :)

How is the coverage?

Asked by: Angel21108
My opinion is it’s about a solid light/medium to medium coverage & semi-buildable - if you allot a bit of time between layers. I wouldn’t go w/too many though bcz it could become cakey. But I do one layer & get about medium coverage & I like the finish after I cream contour, powder & bronze.

I am a guy, and want to try this, how do I find the right shade?

Asked by: frankie1
I say go into a store that has testers - like Ulta &  find your shade by taking a bit of product & wiping it on the connected area of the jaw-neck-cheek. If you look at the shade in natural light, preferably by a window, you should have little problem finding a match. Wiping like 2-3 different shades in this spot should give you clarity on the right shade. You can also ask one of Ultas employees to help too (if the world ever reopens again). Hope this helps. :)

Is there a light-medium cool tone for the Dewy Foundations?

Asked by: Laura77
I’m glad you asked this because this is my only complaint about this foundation & it’s an important one  - I cannot find a shade match because none of them are cool/pink enough for me. They’re all so yellow/orange. The shade Peach Natural in the original Photo Focus formula is the closest I can find for me but the shades are not the same in the dewy line. But even that shade I have to make it work & I shouldn’t have to. But I cannot wear the dewy formula at all because there isn’t a shade that I can even make work. Most brands label & describe shades as having a cool/pink undertone but I feel like they’re testing these shades on warmer undertones, so of course they will APPEAR to have a cool pink undertone to them. But oftentimes if they were to take that same shade & test it on someone who has a true cool pink undertone, it will look too yellow, peach, orange/warm on them. Brands really need to fix this ongoing problem. I’ve had a problem my entire life trying to find shade matches to my VERY COOL undertone (but I’m not super fair which ya generally where most pink undertones are found). I hope all brands, including W&W incorporates some change in their undertones. As of right now, the only brand that offers an exact shade match for me is CoverGirl in their TruMatch line or the (now discontinued) Vitalist line. I haven’t found another brand (drugstore or high end) that offers an exact shade match for me - most brands don’t offer a pink undertone in the light/medium to medium shade ranges, they always go either peach or that grey-neutral (despite what the shade is actually labeled as). I can make a neutral work as long as it’s not a yellow neutral, but I shouldn’t have to here in 2020. Many brands could learn a thing or 2 about undertones from the CoverGirl foundations. I wish they’d take notes & incorporate what they’re missing. I hope this was helpful or simply interesting. I apologize that I didn’t have more solutions for you. :)

Is good for oily skin??

Asked by: jocy805
This could be worn with oily skin with proper skin prep & setting but almost any foundation will need a blot or touch-up at some point throughout the day, especially if you have oily skin. Now if you’re looking for a mattifying finish and some longevity, the original formula is the way to go. The dewy formula doesn’t have any luminosity to the finish but the formula is different from the original-it is more moisturizing & had less of a matte finish to it. I have oily/combo skin & I actually mix the original w/the dewy & that’s because I don’t care for the original formula as it makes me look too matte & it ages me, plus there isn’t a shade that matches me. But the nice thing is that thus is a pretty inexpensive foundation. If you purchase from a store like ulta, cvs, walmart etc, & you’re unhappy for any reason, you can return or exchange it without any financial loss. I hope this helps you so you can make a more informed decision.
