Rated 3 out of 5 by from LIGHT SKIN WOMEN HAVE TO BUY ONLINE Like so many brands there are not enough light shades - the spin all around is always about there not being enough dark shades with light skin women getting no respect for our needs. I for one do not think this is racial at all - all shade can not be provided in stores so I have no problem ordering online. At-least Wet n Wild has the light shade I need online which is more than most other brands (high end or drug store).

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Highly scented It has a very strong unpleasant perfume smell. It reminds me of the perfume that old ladies sometimes wear. I have use their other foundation and prefer the smell of that one to this one. Very disappointing

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Not long lasting Not long lasting, looks great when you first apply it but as the day goes on, it gets patchy no matter which primer I used. On a positive note, it doesn't smell like paint. It might just be my skin type but its not expensive at all so its worth a try, it might just work for someone else’s skin type. Im more on the dry side so I moisturize well and apply it with a elf sponge but it just didnt last long unfortunately.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Settles into wrinkles Photo Focus Dewy Foundation - Beige. I am not an expert in makeup application, but this was not user friendly. Even though it first applies smoothly with a semi-opaque finish, I found it quickly settles into lines. It is ok for low-quality zoom calls but not in-person interactions. I also found the color to be far too "warm" (yellow) for my skin tone.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Sheer foundation Formula is a little more sheer than expected but I don’t need much coverage so I’m ok with it for natural makeup looks. The color was wrong for me but blended out beautifully anyway. Great for mature skin, can’t buy anything better for this price. This product also does not have the “paint” smell to it as the photofocus matte.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Amazing for the price For a $6 dewy foundation, I can’t complain. Perfect for everyday wear when you can’t bare to use a more expensive/high end foundation daily. You can build this into high coverage easily and I surprisingly really like the spatula applicator! I want to try the original formula of this foundation as well now.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from “Everyday foundation” Great foundation for normal to dry skin. Leaves my skin looking natural or build more coverage by adding more. Doesn’t look caked and lasts a good 5 hrs without primer. Definitely is my new go to drugstore foundation for everyday use, plus the price point is excellent.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great for dry skin My new favorite affordable foundation. It looks natural but still gives great coverage. The shade range is the only think I took a star away for. Soft beige was the closest match for me but the undertone was a bit off.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Perfect for Dry Skin Moisturizing but not heavy duty dewy. I have dry skin and it actually looks like a natural finish compared to the Maybelline Fit Me Dewy foundation (that one tends to leave me looking like a greased chicken)

Is there a light-medium cool tone for the Dewy Foundations?

Asked by: Laura77
I’m glad you asked this because this is my only complaint about this foundation & it’s an important one  - I cannot find a shade match because none of them are cool/pink enough for me. They’re all so yellow/orange. The shade Peach Natural in the original Photo Focus formula is the closest I can find for me but the shades are not the same in the dewy line. But even that shade I have to make it work & I shouldn’t have to. But I cannot wear the dewy formula at all because there isn’t a shade that I can even make work. Most brands label & describe shades as having a cool/pink undertone but I feel like they’re testing these shades on warmer undertones, so of course they will APPEAR to have a cool pink undertone to them. But oftentimes if they were to take that same shade & test it on someone who has a true cool pink undertone, it will look too yellow, peach, orange/warm on them. Brands really need to fix this ongoing problem. I’ve had a problem my entire life trying to find shade matches to my VERY COOL undertone (but I’m not super fair which ya generally where most pink undertones are found). I hope all brands, including W&W incorporates some change in their undertones. As of right now, the only brand that offers an exact shade match for me is CoverGirl in their TruMatch line or the (now discontinued) Vitalist line. I haven’t found another brand (drugstore or high end) that offers an exact shade match for me - most brands don’t offer a pink undertone in the light/medium to medium shade ranges, they always go either peach or that grey-neutral (despite what the shade is actually labeled as). I can make a neutral work as long as it’s not a yellow neutral, but I shouldn’t have to here in 2020. Many brands could learn a thing or 2 about undertones from the CoverGirl foundations. I wish they’d take notes & incorporate what they’re missing. I hope this was helpful or simply interesting. I apologize that I didn’t have more solutions for you. :)
