Rated 2 out of 5 by from Not a highlighter. Look. Don't call your product something it's not. This is not a highlighter, it's a black eyeshadow. The description of this product says: "The silky smooth, highly-pigmented powder gives an all over glow when applied to the cheek bones, brow bone, and cupid's bow." I literally can't imagine anyone applying this to their cheek bones or cupids bow for an "all over glow". It's black eyeshadow. It's not even glittery or shimmery really, I swatched it on my hand and it seemed to be just matte black eyeshadow to me. As an eyeshadow? This product seems fine! But I have many other matte black eyeshadows I would reach for first. (I received this product complimentary for reviewing purposes)

Rated 3 out of 5 by from This Highlighting Powder is "Not Your Basic Witch" “Not Your Basic Witch” is actually a really pretty shade. In fact, I can see many uses for this as an eyeshadow to darken the outer crease or create a beautiful smoky eye. It’s sparkly, almost metallic finish adds more flare than a traditional black shadow, but I personally would never seek out a such a dark highlighter. Aside from creating a nice smoky eye, I cannot think of many uses for this product. Yes, you could use this to achieve a spooky makeup look, but you probably have a black shade in your inventory that will do the trick. Note: I received this complimentary product from Influenster for testing purposes.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Fantastic Formula Wet n' Wild was very kind and sent this to me complimentary. But I will not let that taint my review. I love wet n' wild's highlighter formula. It is the best I have found at the drugstore. They are affordable, creamy, pigmented, and last all day! I use their highlighters every day, and am never disappointed with their payoff. The only reason this didn't get five stars is because of its practicality. I understand the product is gimmicky, but I can only figure out one way to wear this, and that's as eyeshadow. But I would 100% recommend any of their other highlighters every day of the week!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Not your basic witch Here is the product you must try this Halloween or next one or any other time you want to look fabulous !!! So I totally recommend this powder to anyone who likes using darker shades and I am proud to say that this Halloween I wasn't a basic witch. So with this highlighting powder I got a glowing skin and illuminous color, which I totally love. It stays solid and sparkly for the whole evening. For every day use it works great for me on eye makeup and for shaping contours. Overall, I am satisfied. Thanks wetnwildbeauty & influenster for the opportunity to test the the product for free

Rated 2 out of 5 by from I mean, meh. You get what you pay for. This "highlighter" is like a sad, shimmery eye-shadow for the most part. I'm not sure if that's because of the formula or because it's black. Though a black highlighter isn't necessarily the best idea, as we've seen in the past. Without a primer it's about as expected, and with a primer it does build but the glitter is visible instead of a seamless part of the formula. This is best suited for certain Halloween costumes or Dia de Muertos face paint on a budget in my opinion. (I did receive this complimentary in exchange for a review but all opinions are my own.)

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Works great as a smoky eyeshadow If I had done a look that required dark face makeup (maybe a black cat or witch?) I would have loved to use this as an actual highlight, since it is very pretty. Since I was boring this year, I decided to try it out as a smoky eyeshadow and loved how the highlight made it look way prettier than regular black shadow. This could be really nice in a "smoky eye" palette.. I received this product as complimentary for review purposes through Influenster but all opinions are my own.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Cute and Unique I think this is a highlighter that will work for very few skin tones, but when it works it's gonna work to the heavens. On my paler, yellow-undertoned skin, it almost blends in, but barely has a visible yellowy streak. I think on a slightly darker skintone than mine (so roughly light-medium) it would work beautifully, but on any skin tones darker than "medium," it would probably lean towards ashy. And, ofc, like most wet 'n wild powder highlights, it's very glittery, so if you don't like that kinda glittery texture, don't even try.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Black highlighter? Let me start off saying that I'm a HUGE wet n wild fan. I own tons of high end eye shadow and cheek palettes, but my go to daily shadows and highlighters are from wet n wild. I was so excited to try out this product when I saw the packaging and skull emboss on it, but sadly it did not perform like a highlighter at all. It is more powdery and doesn't offer the flawlessly smooth highlight as all of my other wet n wild highlighters do. It performs more like a dry, powdering not opaque eye shadow or maybe it's meant for halloween makeup, but it's definitely not what I expected or was hoping for considering the cute packaging. I'm giving 2 stars instead of 1 just for the skull on it. I received this product complimentary in exchange for my honest review*

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Wonderful Seasonal Product Buying a black highlighter is not for the faint of heart. While this is perfect for doing your Halloween makeup look to go to costume parties and things it also can double for a really great eyeshadow when it's not halloween. If you're looking for a great highlighter for the holiday but an outstanding black eyeshadow the rest of the year this is what you need.
