Wet n Wild never disappoints me, I LOVE THIS COLLECTION !!Valencia — 4/9/2017
I'll start off and say: no I don't have the entire set. I do, though, have most of the set, so I should be good review this. I got 2/3 of the Cheek and Lip Tints, the pink highlight, the Hieroglyphic Heart trio, and the kabuki brush. That's 5/10 so not bad. My review will be based on my skin color being "Lightly Fried Albino" i.e I'm cool toned very pale (the reason I don't own everything). I got my products at HEB right as they busted open the boxes (everything is under $5 with most under $4). Okay, let's do this.
The Highlighter: I got the pink one (I think it was The Sweetest Bling or something) because I heard the other was very blue and on my skin that would look like a bruise. Now, maybe on some people this will be too pink, but on my skin IT LOOKS GREAT. A bit like a duo chrome but not really. I can say it is a really close dupe for my Makeup Forever Pro Fusion Highlighter in Golden Pink. Not perfect, but pretty good. The middle heart is the prettier of the two colors and really has that BANG BANG, but I brush my fan over the whole thing and it looks pretty good. The shimmer could be a little finer like my MUFE, but it is nice and worth the cash. Also, it lasts AT LEAST 9 hours looking about the same so the staying power is really good (yes, I have SUPER oily skin).
Kabuki Brush: I quite like this. Super cute and soft at the top yet firm at the bottom. It can be the tiniest bit scratchy but I pat then sweep when applying setting powder so that is probably why. Good deal for a kabuki too since ELF is like $6 for their cheapest one.
Cheek and Lip Tint: I got the 2 lightest shades (the names escape me) the last one does look darker in person than online so I skipped on it. May go back for it though because I really dig these. They do not smell bad with a very light scent that fades fast. No taste. They are very similar to the gel balms they just released, but have more pigment. The light pink is cooler toned than it looks but nice. The orangey tone is orange but nice and soft. They last a good while but are like a balm. Not super hydrating, but not like your typical satin lip in terms of drying. For a blush, I dig them. Don't need much to get good pigment. I apply it to my not powdered foundation, blend with a small stippling brush, and tone it down a bit by going over super quick with my RT sponge. Not too bright and not too sheer. Staying power seems to be good. Nice for traveling.
Hieroglyphic Heart Trio: This would be the trio eyeshadows with the yellowish cream shade, light mauve, and dark sparkly brown. The trio is nice and creamy, but not as much as Walking on Eggshells. I guess if I wore it according to the pan, I would like it more. I just don't care for the chunky sparkle of the brown shade. It is good for what it is, but it just struggles from fall out a bit. The light mauve shade is LIFE though. It is a lovely matte color that I like to put on the lid and crease. I may take the sponge space on Walking on Eggshells and put this shade in it. The cream shade is pretty yellow for my skin tone and makes my eyes look a bit sickly. For other skin tones, this may be a really lovely color. I really wished I had picked up the other trio with the brighter pink because it looked really lovely in person.
TL;DR: I dig this and will use it in the Spring, Summer, and Fall.
