  • Amazing

I have very oily lids. I didn't want to pay so much for a eye primer so a friend recommended me this eye primer from Wet N Wild. It keeps my eyeshadow in place all day with no smudge!

  • hmm ok

just ok, I've used better primers, not sure I like how it looks under light shadows

I was iffy about this product since I'm not a big fan of the face primer but this eyeshadow primer is absolutely amazing.

  • I love it!

At the age of 27, I am new to the world of cosmetics lol. I would sometimes use eye shadows in the past, but I never knew I needed to use a primer and that my lack of primer was the reason eye shadows would fade out on me. I purchased this product a couple of weeks ago and I am in love with it! It really keeps my eye shadows on all day. I typically apply it in the early mornings and I remove my makeup before showering at night. I only have to apply the eye shadows (wetnwild) in the morning and it lasts all day.

  • Its ok

It gets the job done, but isn't sticky enough for grabbing a lot of eyeshadow

  • Meh

This was the first eyeshadow primer that I ever tried. I didn't like it, at all. It completely dried my eyelids out, and left residue on them when I tried to clean it off. I have heard that I may have put too much on, but I used a very tiny amount and it was still like that. So I'm not sure if I got a bad one, because I've seen a lot of reviews on here that say it's the best (which is why I bought it). Not my favorite wet n wild product.

  • Works great

This is actually a very good eyeshadow primer. Works really good.

  • excellent

I have oily skin and eyelids and normally my eyeshadow moves around, creases, and just disintegrates. But I used this, and 7 hours later my eyeshadow still looked freshly applied and my lids were bone-dry.

    Great! Just great!

  • Better than high end!

I was using Too Faced eyeshadow primer from time to time and I just bought the WetnWild one, and it made my eyeshadow stay on better than the Too Faced! It was ten times better for a much cheaper price!!

  • Yes

Why waste money when you can get this quality primer?? Holds onto your shadow like crazy. I like it more than NYX.

  • Great primer for oily lids

I bought this primer after seeing how great and within my range the price was and I thought it was worth giving it a try. I spent the day at a theme park in blazing heat, 8 hours of sun and hot air. I have very oily lids and I was originally concerned about my eyeshadow and liner staying on, but it did. It did not budge after all the sweat, water splashing and sweat. No major creases or smudges and the makeup I used was not waterproof or smudge-proof. Amazing value for money, especially for those who've struggled to find a good primer for oily lids that's within budget. Definitely give this one a shot.

  • A M A Z I N G! ♥

Honestly the best primer and at the lowest price ever! I went into the pool with my makeup done and my eyeshadow was intact! I love this so much I already stocked up for months!

  • Excellent primer!

This is amazing eye primer for the price. Excellent quality!

  • Perfect

    In love

    Works great

  • My favorite primer

I use this primer on clients and on myself constantly. I love the way it holds my shadow and brightens the color as well. Just remember to set it with a powder:)

  • Very good

As good as the higher priced primers. Save yourself some money. Try this one.

  • Love!!

    Best eye primer I've tried!

  • Best primer

I have tried many eyeshadow primers, but this one is incredible for the price. I used it a couple weeks ago for a long day I had and my eyeshadow looked just as great as it did when I put it on 17 hours later. I love this primer. I will say you have to make sure it is completely blended out when it is still wet or it will leave a weird chalky white look in the inner/outer corner of your eyes that is nearly impossible to get off.

  • Great!

This makes your eyeshadow last forever. And it won't crease. Just make sure to not use it on your lower lash line or too far out from your eye, because I've noticed it'll mess with the blending of your concealer if you do that. But it's amazing for under eyeshadow!!

  • Totally worth it!

This is the bomb! I love it! I bought this at target. It is a total dupe of potion from urban decay. I wore the primer and made my eyeshadow last a long time and I have oily eyelids. I would highly recommend!

  • La llorona

It's good for my oily eyelids and my eyeshadow stays but once it dries it leaves white around my eyes. My mom asked me if I was crying one day and when I looked in the mirror I had a lot of white residue around my eyes. Also when I put my foundation on it shows the white under.

  • Just ok

So this works as the color stays on and does not crease BUT like another reviewer mentioned it does make my lids look older - not sure why - maybe I'm using too much? I've tried it a few times though with the same results.

  • OUTSTANDING primer!!!!!

I have very oily, hooded eyelids and am a dancer and dance teacher, so I get sweaty a lot. I have been searching for the perfect primer for years, something, anything, that won't crease. I've tried high end, low end, nothing works. I recently resorted to just using my concealer as my primer, and while that's the best that I have tried, it's not great.
I bought this as part of the most my recent Black Friday sale haul, because why not? By the time it arrived, I was about to perform in two shows of The Nutcracker ballet. I again went "why not" and tested this with my stage makeup.
    Holy. Cow.
This primer kept my eye makeup on my oily, sweaty, hooded eyelids, even after I had been onstage under bright, hot lights and wearing a heavy costume.
Absolutely didn't budge. I'm so impressed, will definitely be repurchasing over and over and over!

  • Works like glue!

This was my first primer and I'm sold on it. I have oily skin so my eyeliner was usually smudged to my top lid by the end of the day, but this primer really keeps it in place. I can put on my make up at 8am and it still looks fresh by 8pm. Also comes off easily with makeup remover wipes!

  • WNW is killin' it!

I love this primer after the very fist use. I waited all day to write a review, even though I heard it was great and now the proof is there. My eye shadow looks smooth with no creasing and the color is still vibrant!

  • Love it

    Its a great primer!

  • An Eye Primer That works

It goes on smooth and dries quite well. It keeps my eye shadow looking good and stays on throughout the day with no creases showing.

  • Hands down the best eye shadow primer around

I've used all the high end eye shadow primers--Urban Decay, Smashbox, Too Faced, Bare Essentials, etc. This is by far the best out of them all at a fraction of the cost. I won't wear anything else anymore. I have VERY oily lids and this primer locks my eye shadow on all day. It never creases and never fades. It's hard to find in the stores but I don't mind paying shipping to have it sent to me. It's so worth it.

  • It is perfect

This works wonders mye eye shadow stays on does clump or smear. Its amazing

  • Best Primer

This is literally the best primer I've tried in my several years of wearing makeup involving primers and such. It doesn't let my eyeshadow fall out as much, and recently I had issues with my creases getting oily and melting everything even with Urban Decay and Kat Von D eye primers. This primer is actually the savior. No more melted eyes! Thanks for the best primer at the best price!

  • Better than Urban Decay - Waaay better!

I'd been looking for a good eyeshadow primer for the longest time. Nothing just stayed on and my eyeshadow was always creasing. I tried Urban Decay's and admittedly it was better than a lot of other brands but I just didn't want to keep paying so much for it so I decided to try Wet n Wild's brand and WOW! It's the best. I was skeptical about the formula at first but it turned out to be absolutely amazing! I've been out in the rain and the blistering heat and my eye makeup didn't budge at all. It's perfect if you've got oily eyelids - no creasing! I've worn my eye makeup for 14 hours and it still looked freshly applied at the end of the day.

  • great

it makes my eyeshadows stay on forever! it's super affordable and does it's job nicely. it is harder to take off my eyeshadow at the end of the day when I use this primer, but I do not mind.

  • Kinda weird but good.

Okay so the first time I put it on and it felt kinda greasy but I gave it a few seconds and it dried and it was no longer greasy. Also the other day I was crying and my eye makeup did not move at all I think this is a wonderful product for its price.

  • Total dupe for a high end product

This stuff is a total dupe for the urban decay primer potion, but I like this one better. It has pigment to it, so it will cover any veins or discoloration on the lids, and I never have creasing after I've worn my makeup after 10+ hours. Thanks wet n wild!

  • not a "one size fits all" primer

i feel like there are some aspects of this eye shadow primer that will make it less than ideal for some people, but a holy grail for others. i am giving it a 3 because i think i am one of the people that it is less-than-ideal for. here is a review that is almost as thorough and lengthy as the op-ed i just wrote for my college english composition class, lol.

    - crazy awesome longevity.
your eye shadow WILL stay on.

    - value.
a little goes a long way. even though it is a pretty typical amount of product for an eye shadow primer, you don't have to use as much for it to do its job.

    -cruelty free.

most high end primers are going to run somewhere in the $15-$30 range, and most drug store primers don't have the longwear power that this primer has.

-creates an even base, isn't patchy.

    -great for oily eyelids.

    -squeeze-tube packaging.
i hate when primers have the doe-foot applicator. when you start running out of primer, the doe-foot applicator makes it hard to reach the remaining product and they usually dry out.

    - difficult to remove.
it is so powerful, you need waterproof makeup remover. if you don't have that type of stuff on hand, or even if your waterproof makeup remover isn't as effective, you have to scrub and tug on your lids for it to come off. tugging on your lids too much can be bad for your peepers in the long run :(

    -bad for dry eyelids.
i put too much on the first time i used it, and it felt like i was putting eye shadow on paper. (also when i say "too much," i would consider it a normal amount for any of the other primers i have used. emphasis on "a little goes a long way.") it was uncomfortable, but not unbearable. it felt like most of the moisture had been sucked out of my eyelids.

-adds 15+ years to your eyelids, or at least to mine.
because the primer felt a little uncomfortable, i got curious and i looked at my lids in brighter lighting. there were a lot of fine lines and wrinkles near the crease of my lid that definitely weren't there before! again, i do feel like i used too much, but unfortunately it still happens (just not as intensely) when i use a "proper" amount. if you are a fierce, older makeup goddess and have lines around your eyes that you don't want to emphasize, you might want to stay away from this primer.

for reference: i am 20, and my eyelids look relatively typical for someone my age. i don't really have any fine lines or wrinkles. my eyelids are probably "normal," they may get a little oily near the end of the day. the other primers i have used are the urban decay anti-aging eyeshadow potion ($24), the kleancolor eyeshadow primer ($1), and the elf glitter primer ($2).

final comments: with my first attempt using this primer, the benjamin button status of my eyelids paired with the dryness made me remove it before i finished applying my makeup. however, wet n wild usually makes good stuff so i went back and tried again a few times, and each time it has gotten better. for example, the drying and wrinkling effects that it had were diminished when i used less of it. i am sure there are more tips and tricks to make it work better for your age, skin type, etc. all makeup products have a learning curve! i will probably check back in on the review section in the future to see what everyone else has to say. i love wet n wild so i'm kinda bummed that this didn't work for me, but no one can expect every product to work for them! plus it was only $5 bucks, so i can't complain all that much. i would still recommend to a friend, but it would also depend the type of eyelids that friend has.

i am attaching an image of my lids: one with the primer, one without. this is before washing my face in the morning, so this is probably the oiliest my lids would typically be. hope this was helpful!

  • dont waste your money!

on any OTHER primer that is! this primer is a dream come true! i have extremely oily lids and i can depend on this to get me through the day, in fact it only comes off when i take it off. dont spend another penny on high end primers, this is the only one you will ever need, also a little goes a long way! i have bought several and have even given some away bc i wanna share the magic that comes in this tube with everyone!

  • Better than Urban Decay!!!

For years I thought that I would be forced to splurge on Urban Decay's eyeshadow primer potion but this is a lifesaver! I have extremely oily eyelids and with this product my eyes feel matte all day. I could not believe it. I usually never write reviews but I felt like I had to for this.

  • Amazing eyeshadow primer!

This primer is amazing! My eyelids are super oily, so I need to use primer. I went to Sephora, and the cheapest one I could find was $20. And 4 hours after applying eyeshadow, I was creasing. Epic fail!
When I saw this at the local drugstore for only $5, I grabbed it so fast! This tube has 3 times the amount of product as my previous primer. Omg so affordable! I have been using it ever since! One day I wore makeup for 12 hours, and at the end of the day my eye makeup was flawless (unlike the rest of my shiny oily face lol)! No ugly creasing! My eyelids were so matte!
I love this stuff! And it's cruelty free! Double win!

  • Stays all day

Even in the rain my eyeshadow stayed put with this primer.

  • Best product ever!

I fell asleep in my makeup. Woke up to see that nothing on my eyes budged even slightly. My shadow and liner looked exactly like I had just put it on and was completely matte. Mind you, I have the oiliest hooded eyes in existence and because of that, I've never been able to find products that work for me...until I bought this! So impressed and so happy. Bonus: It's cruelty free and vegan. Perfect!

  • OMG

This stuff is like glue for your shadow! Literally lasts all day!!! I normally have oily lids, plus I put moisturizer on my lids before my makeup, and despite that, my shadow lasts all day with this stuff. Can be difficult to take off-try not to tug your eyelids.
